Ever wonder why pasta at that Italian restaurant tastes so good?
Maybe it’s the fact that you got to sit on your own fanny while another person works their’s off to make your food. Or perhaps it’s the company you’re with when you eat it. Maybe it is the finely-stitched table cloth and the light music in the background.
Sorry, but none of those answers would be correct. You love your not-so-authentic Italian dish because of two wonderful ingredients: CHEESE and BUTTER.
Unless you’ve got a classically-trained chef working for you, that Olive Garden meal isn’t using much more than good old-fashioned dairy fat to hit our pleasure centers and keep us coming back for more.
