We get it. There are lots of things we’re expected to do in life: exercise daily, be well-read, work 40+ hours per week, start a side hustle, maintain relationships, and keep up with sports, new shows, and music. There’s a lot of pressure to do it all in today’s society.
This usually means that other important things get ignored, like cooking your own food. Time comes at a premium, so we generally spend our money for convenience’s sake. Unfortunately, this convenience comes at a price, and when it comes to food that price has been especially high.
That’s why we at Average Dude Food are taking a stand. We’re here to help you be an adult and cook your own food.
We Spend a Lot of Money on Eating Out
According to a recent study, we’ve been spending a lot of our hard-earned money on eating out. For the first time in history, Americans now spend more at restaurants than they do on groceries.
Consider that the average millennial spends $174 on eating out per month. That’s over $2,000 a year spent on food you could have made for WAY less at home. While you’ll still spend some money on groceries, it’s significantly cheaper. Cutting back on eating out can save you a ton, and there’s a lot you could do with an extra thousand or two in the bank.
Studies also show that guys spend significantly more than their female counterparts on eating out. Average Dude Food is here not just to help you fellas spend less on dining out, we’re also here to save you time in the kitchen.
