Bring a pot of water to a boil, then cook noodles until slightly firm (al dente). After noodles are done, stir in butter.
While noodles are cooking, combine spicy Italian sausage, onions, garlic, and olive oil. Cook until sausage is browned.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Drain the sausage mixture, then add spaghetti sauce and parsley. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese. Mix well.
Add the noodles into the cheese mixture. Stir until noodles are coated evenly.
In a large baking dish (9×13 preferred), add the noodle/cheese mixture and then half of the sauce mixture.
Add a layer of cheese, then add the remaining sauce and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
